Description

En-route to Lamar Valley, we saw 7 Elk (Cervus canadensis) in a meadow near LeHardys Rapids. The sun was lighting them nicely so we decided to stop and take some photographs. This particular Elk was chewing something hard. She'd move it all about in her mouth, drop it, pick it up, and repeat, over and over again. Not only did she make faces as she chewed, but she'd throw back her head as she'd reposition the object in her mouth.
