Description

I found this Ruby-crowned Kinglet (Regulus calendula) flitting about from branch to branch along the banks of the San Pedro River in SE Arizona, looking for whatever lunch it could find. It's a restless little bird and therefore rather difficult to make an image of.

That being said, I once had one land on a limb next to my shoulder and stay there for almost a minute. Of course, being that close made it inside the minimal focal distance for my telephoto.
