Description

A scenic view of Lower Empire Lake from one of the trails at John Topits Park in North Bend, Oregon.

This Southwestern corner of the lake once had a wooden bridge that crossed from the parking area into the woods. The bridge has since fallen into disuse and is no longer accessible to foot traffic.

As Summer progresses, the water level in the lake continues to drop. Eventually, one can walk from end-to-end of the bridge without getting wet. The lake fills back up once the Winter rains start.
